Wales’s only dedicated Rail innovation programme has officially kick started its first recruitment drive, and you could be part of it.
‘Lab by Transport for Wales (TfWL)’ is a 12-week Innovation Accelerator Programme, aimed to showcase the best and most innovative start-ups in Wales.
Our Innovation Accelerator Programme will help up-scale and accelerate tech start-ups and have them pitch ready within 12-weeks. This will be achieved through a series of innovation sprint, product design and value proposition workshops, along with mentoring and additional training.
At the end of the 12-week programme, applicants will pitch their business solutions to Transport for Wales Rail decision makers. Successful candidates will be awarded a contract of work, and their solution will be subsequently launched across the Transport for Wales Rail network. If your start-up could benefit from this – then we want to hear from you.
We’re looking for start-ups that have either an innovative idea, or an early stage product design. Alternatively, businesses that already have a solution on the market, that can be adapted for the rail sector will make perfect candidates for our Innovation Programme. Either software or hardware, if it’s innovative and has the potential to positively impact Transport for Wales Rail and their passengers, we’d love to hear from you.
Cohort 1 of TfWL launches in November. Subsequently, we are currently looking for hungry, creative and innovative tech start-ups to apply. As part of the programme you’ll be able to enjoy working from our recently introduced innovation lab in Newport.
Our location will provide you and your team everything you need to help develop and accelerate your business. The lab is kitted out with industry leading technology, working areas and collab spaces, giving your team the perfect working environment.
