On Thursday 17th March, we launched Cohort 4 of our Innovation Accelerator Programme!

We’re a little bit excited to say the least!

Cohort 1, 2 and 3 were a great success as we helped accelerate 5 start-ups through to the negotiation stages with Transport for Wales Rail.

We’ve got a new series of challenge statements and 3 start-ups eager to tackle them.

Let’s take a look at who will be taking part in Cohort 4.

The Cohort

  • Porter Travel  – A digital travel companion designed to make travel effortless from discovery and booking, through to experiencing and enjoying. They focus on connecting their members to their best matched travel options.
  • Cufflink  – Cufflink makes businesses more secure and compliant by distributing their personal and sensitive data and licensing its access, so they’ll always know exactly who’s accessing their data, from where and for what reason.
  • Clickflow – Clickflow are a technology company that helps organisations make more informed decisions through deployment of business intelligence solutions.

 The Programme

The programme is covering a range of topics from ideation to stakeholder scanning, user testing and product development.

Start-ups will go from ideation and over the course of the 11-week programme, will have developed an MVP to pitch to TfW stakeholders.

Michael Davies, insight and innovation manager at TfW, said: “We’ve been so impressed with the high calibre of ideas that have been pitched to us over this stage of the programme. TfWL allows both local, Welsh companies, and those further afield to grow, develop and accelerate their business. Importantly, it also presents the opportunity to develop and fast track any new ideas that can make a meaningful difference to passenger experience across our network.”

Imran Anwar, CEO of Alt Labs, and Programme Director at TFW Lab said: “It a great privilege to be working with Cufflink, Porter Travel and Clickflow on a very focused TFW Lab Cohort 4. It also great news in that we continue to develop and support the Welsh start-up eco system and helping them to develop their service and technology to work with in TfW . We are looking to continue this momentum with cohort 4 taking on challenges around big data, data visualisation, connected travel planning and cyber security. You will get the chance to see the output live from this cohort at the TFW Lab Demo Day taking place 26th May 2022 at the Depot in Cardiff.”
